Purpose of Role
A Country Sales Manager is responsible for leading, planning, and managing the sales activities of a company. They develop and implement sales strategies, mentor, and guide the sales team, and monitor performance to achieve revenue goals and organizational objectives. He/she is responsible for the full P&L of the country and achieving defined objectives. Build up and develop a profitable sales team.

Direct report to the Head of Sales Europe
Manager of the local OPPLE Professional sales team in the country
Your responsibilities:
Sales Expert
Positioning of our Lighting Brand in the market and increasing market share
To exceed sales / profit targets and maximize sustainable profitable growth in the region
Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth
Build and maintain relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders
To take an active role in the management of major/key customers and major projects within the country/region
Stay updated on industry trends and product knowledge to effectively communicate features and benefits to the sales team
Continuously improve sales processes and workflows to increase efficiency and effectiveness
Implement and manage sales tools and technologies to streamline operations
Generate regular sales reports and provide insights to senior management
Foster international exchange with different business functions and also at customer level; liaising with Global Marketing, Global Sales and other members of Opple
Operation to Manage P&L
Full P&L responsibility for the region; manage the financial resources allocated to the region and team
Manage the sales department's budget, including expenses related to sales activities, events, and promotions
Monitor sales metrics, such as sales revenue, conversion rates, and customer acquisition costs
Make the Country Strategy
The further implementation of the Opple strategy strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets
Plan and allocate sales territories, set quotas, and ensure effective territory management
Make data-driven decisions to optimize sales strategies
In close cooperation with the Head of Sales Europe, further develop and coordinate
Lead the Team
To lead, develop, appraise, and inspire the country team both individually and collectively
Foster a positive and motivated sales culture within the team
Ensure that the sales team operates within legal and ethical guidelines
Address any compliance issues promptly and appropriately
To positively support and communicate all Company decisions and processes and take ownership for implementation
To co-ordinate performance and talent development of direct and indirect reports take ownership for implementation, ensuring a consistent approach throughout the country/region in alignment with the European people processes
Regularly assess and report on the team's performance against targets
Resource
Recruit, train, and manage the sales team, including setting performance goals and providing ongoing coaching and feedback
Develop sales forecasts and budgets and align resources to achieve them

Job requirements
Knowledge, skills & experience
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
Minimum 5 years of experience in the lighting industry, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
Minimum 5 years of Management experience
Ability to Empower the team with space for responsibility whilst consequently acting on breaches of set guidelines
Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
Strong sense of ownership for the country’s business
The ability to build and maintain the network within the country and maintain contact with local talents
Ability to hunt for talents
The ability to look for and coordinate resources
Track record in growing business; sales and profits
Ability to understand our business model and strong market, trade and organizational knowledge, strong negotiation skills, strong business acumen
Ability to analyze the market in the region and identify clear initiatives to take advantage of major growth opportunities
Result oriented, determination to over-achieve
Expectation Management ability
Experience with Microsoft Office and Salesforce
Fluent in local language; solid written and spoken English skills with advanced presentation skills
